The automatic door of the future

Developed by MEDVA Mecanismos del Vallés, is to adapt the Brushless linear motor technology to the world of indoor pedestrian sliding door automation. Normally, motors transfer a circular or rotary movement into a linear one, through a series of mechanisms – with their corresponding deficits in energy loss, wear and friction noises (belts, pulleys, counter pulleys, fastening cables, reducers…etc.)-. In the case of the MAG-NET operator, the linear movement is direct. The motor directly transfers the traction of the trolley through permanent magnets (rotor) and coils (stator), achieving practically zero energy loss.

The fact of adapting this type of technology to automate interior pedestrian sliding doors introduces a series of benefits and improvements, both in safety and comfort. Features that have to be taken into account when it is a mobile element that gives way to people.

• REDUCED DIMENSIONS: Our MAG-NET operator, was created with the principle of having dimensions similar to those of a manual guide, so that it would keep a design that would not be bulky or obtrusive in an interior room.

• MANUAL: In the event of a power failure it will, thanks to the technology employed, operate as a manual door, without incurring the dragging of the mechanical systems mentioned above. The door will manually operate freely, without offering resistance to the user.

• TECHNOLOGY: The operator is controlled by a driver with integrated receiver, allowing the use of a wide range of access systems, both radio and wired (radars, remote controls, teletac, keypads, push buttons, etc.). The wide range of security functions for the protection of users, such as speed regulation based on the automatic calculation of effort, automatic lock release (optional), open, closed or automatic door modes, anti-crushing system in case of obstacle…etc.

• EASY INSTALLATION: The operator is designed in such a way that it is not necessary to be a highly qualified professional installer with extensive knowledge of electronics and automation to install it. It is as simple as hanging the guide, like a manual guide, and plugging it into the power supply.

• SILENT: As it has no transmission mechanism, friction noise disappears.

• DURABILITY AND RELIABILITY: As it is free of mechanisms, there is practically no wear and tear; therefore, it does not require periodic control or maintenance of its components.
